AMC TRIPS
About the event
Not every student has easy access to transportation, which means something as simple as going to the movies isn't always accessible.
I organized a campus field trip to AMC, coordinating buses, waivers, team leads for each group, and full logistics with the theater. To make the trip feel like an event rather than just a ride, we ran movie trivia on the way for students to win film merchandise.
Sometimes the most impactful programming is just removing a barrier that shouldn't have been there.
The Process
Coordinated directly with AMC on group logistics, ticketing, and theater access
Contracted and organized bus transportation for the full group
Collected and managed student waivers ahead of the trip
Built out Union Board member teams, each assigned to lead and manage a student group
Organized a movie trivia competition for the ride with film merchandise as prizes for winners
